The best part? You don’t have to install anything! Once you download SkyCD, you’re ready to go. You can even save it on a USB drive. This means you can access your databases from different computers without any hassle, plus all your files are right there with you wherever you are!

User-Friendly Interface

When it comes to how SkyCD looks, it’s pretty straightforward. The interface fits nicely in a classic window frame, making it easy to navigate through your database content. There’s a side panel that shows a tree list of all your folders while the rest of the space displays your files with thumbnails. You can switch between view modes like small icons, list view, details, or tiles.

Adding Files Made Simple

You might think adding files would be tricky, but the add dialog is quite user-friendly! You can filter content from different sources like media disks or folders on your computer—and even grab stuff from the Internet! Just fill in some fields like the name and source of the files and decide if you want to add them to an existing database or create a new one.

No Direct File Operations

However, there's one thing to note: while browsing through files looks similar to File Explorer, you can't do actions like delete or move files directly within SkyCD. It would’ve been nice if there was a search function too since finding things in a crowded database could get tricky.

A Simple Storage Solution

All in all, SkyCD is an easy way to store various types of content in an organized manner. Setting up your source is simple and viewing everything is comfortable thanks to those various modes. Just remember that there isn’t a search feature yet and file operations are limited.
