jFile Chopper is a super handy, free application built on Java that lets you split any file into smaller pieces. This means you can easily chop up big files and later stitch them back together when you need to!
Using jFile Chopper is really simple! Just head over to the File menu and open the "Chopper" window. Here, you'll see all the info about your file like its name, size, and format. Plus, there's a spot where you can enter how many segments you want to split your file into.
You have options! You can chop files into two formats: CMF or Batch/EXE for Windows users. Once you've decided how many segments you want and picked a format, just click "Apply," and watch it do its magic!
The cool part? All the new segment files will show up in the same place as your original file. And if you ever want to put those pieces back together, there's a handy "Combine" tool available in the File menu too!
Customization is key! jFile Chopper offers three different user interface skins that you can switch between from the "Skin" menu: default, ScoUnix, and Windows. So pick one that suits your style!
Since it's made with Java, jFile Chopper works on any operating system with Java support. Whether you're using Mac OS X, Windows, or even Linux, you're all set!
