Installing Xe on Your System Directory


If you want to install Xe in your system directory, just follow these simple steps:



  1. Login as root.

  2. Run the command 'make' to link the software.

  3. Create the system directory by running 'mkdir /usr/local/lib/xe'. Then move the files using 'mv xe rc modules manual.html /usr/local/lib/xe'. Finally, link it into the system path with 'ln -sf /usr/local/lib/xe/xe /usr/local/bin/xe'.



User Directory Installation Steps


If you're looking to install Xe in your user directory instead, here's what to do:




    • Select 'make' to link the software.


  1. Create a local directory: 'mkdir ~/.xe'.




    • Select 'mv xe rc modules manual.html ~/.xe' to move files into your local directory.
