Since the software is ad-supported, it might ask you to download some extra tools or change your browser settings. If you’re not interested in those extras, just say no, and keep your setup clean! Also, make sure you have the .NET Framework installed because it’s required to run this tool.
The interface of the Website Uptime Monitoring Tool is nice and tidy. You can easily add as many websites as you want to monitor. Just enter the URL and title for each site.
You can set up specific status codes that trigger automatic email notifications when something goes wrong. Need help understanding those codes? Don’t worry! There’s a link to Wikipedia right in the app that explains all the HTTP status codes.
If you want to pause monitoring for any website, no problem! You don’t have to delete it from your list—just disable it temporarily. Plus, you can add multiple websites at once by entering each one on a new line.
The app can minimize into your system tray so it won’t bother you while keeping track of everything going on with your sites.
You can set it up to start running every time Windows boots up, and minimize into the system tray when you close it. You also have options for how often you want status checks done—like maybe every few minutes or so. Want more control? You can even enter SMTP details for email notifications!
