Description
Stand-Alone Profiler Installation
The Stand-Alone Profiler Installation is designed for computers that don’t have Visual Studio. It lets you profile applications running on those systems. This version, SP1, comes with some fixes and is a complete install of the Stand-Alone Profiler.
What You Need to Know About SP1
Before you get started, make sure to remove the RTM version from your computer. It’s important because you can’t have both versions at the same time.
Viewing Performance Reports
If you want to see the performance reports generated by the profiler, you'll need a full installation of Visual Studio 2008 with profiling support. This setup makes it easy to track how your applications are doing.
Installation Steps
If you’re ready to install, just follow these steps:
- Uninstall any existing RTM version.
- Download the SP1 version here.
- Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions.
- Once installed, fire up Visual Studio and start profiling!
