USoFatAlator is a super handy app that helps you figure out your body mass index (BMI), body fat, and how many calories you burn. It's pretty easy to use!
BMI is calculated using just your weight and height. But remember, this number isn’t everything! For example, a bodybuilder might get tagged as 'Obese' because muscle weighs more than fat. So, take those results with a grain of salt.
The USoFatAlator goes a step further by estimating your body fat percentage and lean weight using the US Navy formula. This gives you a better idea of where you stand.
This app also tells you how many calories you need each day to maintain your weight or even change it—whether that's losing or gaining! It calculates everything based on your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). TDEE takes into account your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and how active you are.
Your BMR is figured out using your lean weight. The app also provides nutritional info for staying at the same weight. If you're looking for more personalized nutrition data, you can set a goal weight for one month from now. Based on that and other details, it’ll calculate how many calories you should eat daily, including what mix of fats, carbs, and proteins to aim for!
