UnMHT is a super handy add-on for Firefox, SeaMonkey, and Thunderbird that helps you view MHTML files. It’s also great for saving entire web pages into one easy-to-manage MHT file.
MHTML stands for MIME HTML. It's a cool format that lets you archive web pages by combining all the resources (like images and styles) with the HTML code. This makes transferring files really easy since everything is packed into one file!
You can easily access UnMHT from your browser’s Tools menu. Just look for the UnMHT submenu, and you can save any open page or tab as an MHTML file right to your Mac's hard drive. This way, you can view it later whenever you want!
If you want to share your new MHTML file with friends or colleagues, UnMHT makes it simple! You can open any page as an MHTML file and send it via email without any hassle.
Another neat feature is that you can add the webpage URL and date directly into the MHTML file. Plus, if you've got a bunch of HTML files in a folder, UnMHT lets you convert them all to MHTML at once! You can also save multiple tabs as separate MHTML files or combine them into one single file.
UnMHT isn't just limited to web pages; it works great with MHTML files created by other apps too, like Microsoft PowerPoint. If you check out the Preferences window in UnMHT, you'll see options to automatically add saved pages to Download History. You can even choose whether to show or hide the progress bar!
You can share your newly created MHTML files using Apple’s Email app, Thunderbird, or SeaMonkey. Plus, if you're all about shortcuts, UnMHT allows you to set different keyboard shortcuts for saving pages as MHT files quickly!
