This project kicked off as part of the IOSA initiative by grupporicerche. The goal? To simplify how we manage different models of total stations. These devices are often used together in fieldwork, especially when working in a GNU/Linux environment. And guess what? If you're thinking about porting it to Windows or Mac, it shouldn't be too tricky!
Modular Design for Flexibility
Every total station model has its own unique features and quirks. To tackle this, Total Open Station uses a modular structure based on an abstract interface. This means whenever we add a new model into the software, we simply create a new instance of the base class along with all the data it needs.
