What is TorchLight for Windows 8?

TorchLight is a handy little app that turns your computer screen into a torchlight. It works great on Windows 10, 8.1, and even 7! If you're using a laptop, notebook, or tablet and suddenly find yourself in the dark without your phone or matches, this app can really save the day.

Easy to Download

You can grab TorchLight directly from the Windows Store. Once you have it installed, it’s super easy to use. Just click on the first button at the top right corner of the window to switch to full-screen mode for better lighting.

Adjusting Brightness Made Simple

With this app, you can easily tweak the brightness from 0 (which is totally dark) to 100 (the brightest it gets). You can either drag the slider with your mouse or use your keyboard's left and right arrow keys. As you adjust it, a little tooltip shows you how bright it is right then and there!

Add Some Color!

If white light isn't your thing, don't worry! You can change things up with some fun colors too. Just right-click anywhere on the screen or hit the burger button at the top left corner to see more options. You can pick R for red, B for blue, P for pink, Y for yellow, and W will take you back to white.

Simplicity is Key

TorchLight doesn't have a ton of fancy features or settings; however, it's way more useful than you'd think at first glance! If you're someone who usually works late at night and has turned off all the lights in your room, just popping open this app and cranking up that brightness can really brighten up your space without having to reach for a light switch.
