Easy to Use Interface

The interface is clean and user-friendly. You can easily switch between your TiVo recordings and shared media like music, photos, and videos without any hassle.

Selecting Your TiVo DVR

If you have more than one TiVo DVR at home, no problem! TiVo Desktop lets you pick which one you want to check out. You can see all the recordings along with extra details like the title, episode number, recording date, duration, and size.

Transfer Process Made Simple

The transfer time for files can change based on how long each program is. For example, a one-hour show will take about an hour to transfer. The software keeps you updated on the status of the file transfer so you'll know how much time is left.

Auto-Transfer Feature

You can even turn on the Auto-Transfer feature if you're watching a series. This way, every new episode will automatically be transferred as soon as it's recorded on your DVR!

Your Now Playing List

Once you've copied recordings to your computer, they show up in TiVo Desktop’s Now Playing List. You can watch them using your favorite media player whenever you want!

Play Music and View Photos

This software also lets you play music from your TiVo DVR or display photos stored on your computer. The multi-tabbed layout makes it easy to organize everything—music, images, and videos—all in one place.

Your Media Access Key

You’ll need to enter your Media Access Key too! This helps speed up file transfers from your TiVo DVR. Plus, you get to choose where these recordings go on your computer.

Preparing for Portable Devices

TiVo Desktop automatically gets each recording ready for use with portable devices by adding them to your media library. It can even add new TV recordings directly into your Windows Media Library!

Tweaking Audio Settings

You can adjust audio settings using Windows options or speakers set for stereo or surround sound. There’s also a reset feature that clears cached info and resets preferences back to default.

Add Control Features

You have control over when TiVo DVR accesses published media items too! You can start the TiVo server every time you log in to Windows or set how much cache space is used.
