Auto-Transfer Feature

You’ll love this! If you're watching a series, you can turn on the Auto-Transfer feature. This means every new episode gets transferred automatically as soon as it’s recorded on your DVR.

Your Own Now Playing List

Once you've copied recordings over to your computer, you'll find them in the Now Playing List of TiVo Desktop. You can play them using whatever media player you usually use—and if needed, you can stop any transfer process too!

Play Music & Watch Videos

This application turns your TiVo DVR into more than just a recorder! You can play music or display photos from your computer or even watch videos stored there too. The multi-tab layout makes organizing everything super easy!

Customize Your Media Access Key

You can enter your Media Access Key for smoother file transfers from your TiVo DVR and pick where to save those recordings on your computer.

Add to Media Library Automatically

The best part? TiVo Desktop prepares each recording for portable devices automatically by adding them to your media library! It can also add new TV shows directly into your Windows Media Library.

Audio Settings Control

You’ve got options for audio settings too! Use Windows settings or adjust for stereo/surround sound speakers as needed. If things get cluttered, there’s a reset feature that clears out cached info and resets preferences back to default.

Access Control Features

You also have control over whether others see what’s published through TiVo DVR—like sharing with everyone or just folks in your home network.
