Texts is a lightweight text editor that’s perfect for typing out messages in a clean and tidy space. If you're looking for something simple yet effective, this might be the tool for you!

Basic Editing Features

This program lets you easily undo or redo your actions, and do basic editing stuff like cut, copy, and paste. You can also manage paragraphs by indenting or unindenting them. Plus, you get to choose your writing direction—either left to right or right to left.

Search and Embed Options

You can search through your text quickly, add hyperlinks, footnotes, tables, and even images in PNG or JPG formats. Want to organize your writing? You can attach headings and use bullet points or numbered lists. Oh! And you can highlight selected text with different preset colors too!

Saving and Exporting Your Work

What’s cool is that you can print or save your documents in various formats like TEXT, HTML, TeX, or MD. You can also import data from HTML or TeX files and export it to formats like DOC, RTF, PDF, EPUB—you name it! Just remember you'll need the conversion tool Pandoc for some of these options.

User-Friendly Features

Other neat features include inserting or deleting rows and columns. You can also switch to full-screen mode if you want to focus better on what you're doing. It allows you to set font sizes as well as keep track of character and word counts. Plus, there are hotkeys available for quicker access! The layout is customizable too; just pick from different themes.

During our testing of Texts, we noticed it gets the job done quickly without any hiccups. It’s light on CPU usage so your computer won't slow down while you're using it.

A Simple Solution

In short, Texts is a straightforward software option for creating or editing documents. While it might not have all the fancy features of other powerful apps out there—it lacks some advanced functions—it does its job well enough for everyday use. It could use some work on its GUI though to make things a bit more intuitive.
