Description
Terminal Font
Terminal Font is a cool alternative to the old Fixedsys font that comes with DOS-Box on Windows. If you've ever thought that Fixedsys wasn't the most attractive option, you're not alone! That's why Terminal was created.
Features of Terminal Font
This font is part of the NewDOS pack, and once you install it, you can use it in DOS-Box and other consoles too. It comes in a variety of sizes, starting from 8x13 all the way up to 12x23. You'll also find sizes like 9x16 and 10x19 included!
Codepages Supported
Terminal Font supports several codepages. You get the classic 437 for English, a special version called 850 that has more characters, and even codepages like 865 for Norway and Denmark, as well as 852 for Slavic languages. There's also a licensed version available for full-screen applications.
Easy Installation Process
Installing Terminal Font is super easy! Just right-click on the FON file and hit 'Install' from the context menu. Alternatively, you can go to the Control Panel's Fonts section and add it from there. Either way, this font will happily replace that outdated Fixedsys font!
Limitations of Terminal Font
The key thing to remember is that Terminal Font isn't a TrueType Font. This means it's not meant for use in standard Windows applications. Its main goal is to give you a better-looking option instead of Microsoft's plain console font.
If you're ready to ditch Fixedsys for something cooler, check out Terminal Font here!
