TEE is a lightweight piece of software designed to help you overcome the issue of not being able to see the output when the command fails. It enables you to redirect the output to a file and still be able to preview it. This utility acts as a filter that reads the standard input, so you should direct it to the standard input first to process any errors you may encounter.

You need a Rex interpreter in order to use TEE, as the application does not rely on file type associations working correctly. While Regina is recommended, keep in mind that it does not search the path of the file. Be sure to supply the file path when invoking it.

Because of how the filters work, there is a high chance that the return code of the original program is lost. However, TEE provides you with several ways to create new return codes.
