What is tc-viewer FOR LINUX?

tc-viewer

tc-viewer lets you keep an eye on the current data transfers happening in HTB and HFSC traffic shaping classes. You can check this out on any specific interface you choose!

How tc-viewer Works

This cool tool reads output from the command tc -s class show dev iface. It analyzes details for each class, showing stats like:

Sent 6173259431 bytes 6300224 pkt...

Just a heads up, the speeds you see might not be 100% accurate to what’s actually going on.

Requirements to Get Started

If you're ready to jump in, here’s what you need:

  • Perl 5.x (make sure it's the latest stable version for your distro to keep things secure)

  • Download script: tc-viewer

  • Grab the example configuration: tc-viewer.conf

  • Copy tc-viewer to a spot in your PATH variable (like /usr/sbin)

  • Run chmod +x /path_to_script/tc-viewer

  • Edit the tc-viewer.conf file as needed and place it somewhere like /etc.

What’s New in This Release?
