Getting Started with Tally - Auto Entry

The first thing that'll catch your eye are three color-coded spreadsheets waiting for your input. Each one has predefined columns where you'll fill in the date, source, destination, transaction amount, and even a brief description for each transfer. Don't forget about the voucher type and the day of the week!

Handling VAT Transactions

If you're dealing with transactions that include VAT tax, no worries! There's a special spreadsheet just for that. You'll find extra fields like ledger type (sales or purchase), VAT ledger, transaction amount, and VAT class ready for you.

Exporting Your Data

When it comes time to export your data, simply create a new voucher series and filter out the masters you want to create. After that, generate both vouchers and masters XML files. Once you've imported the Masters.xml followed by Vouchers.xml into Tally (yep, that's important!), voilà—your data is good to go!
