Tab Writer is a super easy-to-use program that helps musicians and composers write their music scores. You know how writing tabs in text editors can be a real hassle and not always spot on? Well, Tab Writer makes it a breeze! You can add specific tab models and just insert your notes or chords without any stress.

Easy Installation and Setup

Getting started with Tab Writer is simple. Just open the app, add the tab lines you want, and start writing your notes, lyrics, or instructions. It’s great for composing music for various string instruments like 6-, 7-, 8-, and even 12-string guitars, as well as basses from 4 to 12 strings!

Switching Between Instruments

You can easily switch from one instrument to another right from the Setup menu at the top of the window. Want to add more tabs for your chosen instrument? No problem! You can also add dividers or blank spaces to keep everything organized. The software lets you insert your own notes, lyrics, or even instructions for interpretation.

Add Your Own Instruments

Tab Writer also allows you to add custom instruments and manage their tunings too. This means you have full control over how your score sounds!

User-Friendly Text Editing Features

This software includes all the handy text editing features you'd expect—like Select All, copy, paste, and saving scores as text files. Plus, it automatically copies any new tab to your clipboard when you select that option.

Smart Tab Features

The tabs have multiple lines that match up with the actual strings on your instrument. As you type in chords or notes using dashes, those dashes get replaced automatically while keeping your text formatting intact.

Easily Save and Print Your Scores

Once you've finished writing your score in Tab Writer, saving it is super easy—you can even print directly from the app!
