Getting rid of stubborn digital files, or simply wanting to ensure that certain sensitive information-carrying files are deleted securely is a bit more difficult than just using your permanent deletion feature in Windows. This is a job for SysTools Data Wipe.

This specialized bit of kit was designed specifically in order to offer users the means to delete data securely, using a range of erasing methods, each with different degrees of wiping. It will allow you to target both individual files, as well as entire directories if circumstances dictate.

Having installed SysTools Data Wipe, I was happy to see that it allows you to process data efficiently, as it allows you to add either individual files to the processing queue, as well as entire directories if you’re dealing with large volumes of information.

The design of the app is quite basic, which means that you won’t have to fiddle around too much. It works on a classic, data-in, data-out principle, and you won’t have to worry about other aspects except the deletion method, which I’ve covered in the next section.

In addition to simple functionality, the app does come with a more detailed selection of deletion methods, which I believe allow for a certain degree of flexibility for the end user. To that end, you will be able to easily choose from a range of wiping methods.

Since each method carries an inherently higher or lower number of deletion passes, you will be able to select the right one for your needs, in accordance with how secure you wish for the wiping to be.

There really isn’t much to tell about SysTools Data Wipe except that it does what it’s supposed to, and it does it well. It allows you to securely delete your digital data, using several wiping methods, in accordance with your specific requirements, all in an accessible package.
