System Monitor 2 is a cool tweak of the regular KDE System Monitor tool, known as KSysguard. This handy tool helps you keep an eye on your system's performance and resources.
Easy Setup for Linux Users
If you're using Linux, you're in luck! There are two archives available: one for 64/32 bit binaries and another one for the source code. Just a heads up, though—this version is only made for Linux. So if you're on SunOS or FreeBSD, it won't work for you.
Building from Source Made Simple
You might be wondering how to build it from the source. It's pretty straightforward! Just follow the same steps as you would to build KDE base/workspace. Basically, you'll use cmake, then run make. Easy peasy!
Compatibility Notes
This should compile nicely with KDE versions greater than 4.2.X, but I haven't tested it with anything lower than that. If you do try it with an older version, just keep in mind that the cmake file might need some tweaking.
