Sun is a cool tool that helps with understanding time zones and daylight details across the globe. It’s especially handy for anyone involved in science or research, where even tiny details matter. You can look into things like sunrise and sunset times, which is pretty neat!

Exploring the Interface

When you run the app, you'll see several control windows pop up. One of these features a visual representation of the globe, and there are lots of different map types to choose from! You can zoom in and pan around, which makes it super easy to get a closer look at whatever you're studying. Plus, if you want a bigger view, you can resize or maximize the window.

Control Windows Galore!

Apart from the globe map, there are extra windows that let you control sun settings and various places. There’s even a calendar! The places window has predefined locations worldwide but don’t worry—you can add your own too! Just type in coordinates or specify time zones manually.

Interactive Maps

You can click around on the map, and as you do, different information pops up in the Results window. This is where you can check out things like compass coordinates, exact sunrise/sunset times, day length, night length, and azimuth. Just remember—you'll need to copy these values one by one if you want to export them.

Simplistic Calendar Functionality

The calendar feature is pretty straightforward as well. It doesn’t come with alarms or notifications—just basic navigation through months and years. You select dates here, and every change updates the Results window accordingly.
