Stykz is a cool application that makes it super easy to create animations with stick figures. Whether you want to whip up a fun presentation or a YouTube video, this tool has got your back!

Getting Started with Stykz

The interface of Stykz is pretty user-friendly, featuring multiple frames that help you access drawing tools, stage settings, and other commands. If you're not sure where to start, don’t worry! There are helpful tutorials with images that can guide you through.

Creating Your Stickman Animation

Your first frame will show a stickman in its default pose. You can change its anatomy and move around the pivot points to adjust the segments. Plus, there’s a handy drag node for moving the whole figure around easily.

Smooth Animations Made Easy

When you create new frames, they’re duplicates of the last one. This allows you to make small changes that lead to smooth animations at the end. One cool feature called “Onionskin” shows you a gray version of your original figure so you can plan your next move accurately. Just note that while this feature is great, you can't insert duplicated frames anywhere else in your animation.

Fun Features and Customizations

You’ll find two template stickmen and several shapes like lines, squares, and circles right in the tool. You can customize these by changing their line width, color, scale, angle, or even flipping them! Want to delete some parts of your stickman? No problem! You can also center it on the stage or send objects back or bring them forward as needed.

Create Custom Commands

You can speed up your work by making custom buttons for commands like “Add Figure: Circle” or “Cut Selected Items.” Once you're ready to show off your animation, you can preview it using Controller tools—play it back, loop it, rewind it—whatever suits your needs!

Exporting Your Creation

The final product can be exported in various formats like MOV, JPG, GIF, or PNG once you're satisfied with your work.

User-Friendly Performance

One great thing about Stykz is that it uses very little CPU and RAM. This means it won’t slow down your computer while you’re creating! Throughout our tests, we didn’t run into any issues at all. With complete help files and tutorials available too, you'll be animating like a pro in no time!
