What is StressTeacher?

StressTeacher is a super handy software that helps you learn the right way to pronounce English words by highlighting the stressed letters. It's really lightweight, so it won't bog down your computer.

Easy to Use and Portable

Once you download it, all you have to do is double-click the executable file. No complicated installation needed! This makes it perfect for carrying around on a USB stick or any other storage device. You can use it at home, work, or even in class without any hassle.

No Messy Installation Required

Since StressTeacher doesn’t need installation, it won’t clutter your system with extra registry entries. When you're done using it, just delete the file, and there won't be any leftovers hanging around!

User-Friendly Interface

The main window of StressTeacher is pretty simple. It has two panels: one for 'Source Text' and another for 'Stressed Result.' You can type in your text manually or just paste it from your clipboard. However, keep in mind that you can't import documents directly.

Quick Results with Basic Editing Tools

After you hit the 'Stress Text' button, you'll see the accented version of each word in just a few moments. Then, you can easily copy that result and paste it wherever you need! Plus, there are some basic editing options like 'Cut', 'Copy', 'Paste', and 'Delete'. If you want to change how big the text looks, there's a little font size adjustment feature at the bottom right corner.

A Work in Progress

You might notice that StressTeacher is still being developed—sometimes it can be a bit slow to respond. But overall, it's quite useful and easy to understand for both learners and teachers. It helps show how to stress certain words when you're pronouncing them!
