STAF (Software Testing Automation Framework) is a free and open-source software framework designed to improve test case scenarios and environments through reusability and automation.

• Externalized features via services for tasks like file manipulation, resource pools, process invocation, events, and logging


• Support for various operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, AIX, z/OS, HP-UX, and IBM i


• Download, install, and configure STAF client to redirect requests to services locally or remotely


• STAX, the parallel execution engine, enables automatic test case distribution, execution, and result analysis with customizable control options


• Setup package includes core files, external services, language support, samples, demos, and documentation

Install STAF client to accept and redirect requests to service components from either local or remote computers, ensuring seamless test automation.

Customization Options:

Set default versions for TCP, Pel, Python, and TCL along with the STAF instance name to tailor the framework to your specific needs.
