Drag and Drop Sprites

Getting started is simple. Just drag and drop your sprites from Finder into the loading panel at the top left of the main window. Then, move around the light source to see how it changes your sprite’s look. Plus, there are lots of built-in effects and tools that you can play with!

Global Light Panel

You’ll find the Global Light panel under the Sprite panel. It’s really handy! You can adjust things like light intensity, brightness, color for both source and ambient light, and even auto-rotate the light source!

Display Modes for Better Effects

Sometimes certain colors don’t show effects well due to how they interact with light. Don’t worry! SpriteIlluminator has four display modes: Texture, Lighted Surface, Lighted Texture, and Normal Map. Each one gives you a different view!

Create Stunning Visuals

The tools on the right side of the main window are where all the magic happens! You can use features like the Bevel tool to add volume or the Emboss tool to create depth inside a sprite.

Pushing Your Creativity Further

The Draw tool lets you raise or lower parts of your sprite while the Angle brush helps change orientation easily. And let’s not forget about using brushes for added details! With these tools at your fingertips, you can turn any flat-looking sprite into something that feels alive.
