Plus, there's a neat feature that lets you view wind direction over time! Want to know how the wind looks right now? Just hit the arrow keys on your keyboard to switch between different layers of the map. This way, you'll have a clear picture of how the weather changes, which helps you set your course better.

Understanding Currents

Now, when it comes to currents, things are automatic! The app calculates their force and direction all by itself. But if you're curious about their values, just hover your mouse over different water sections—easy peasy!

Edit and Save Routes

One of the best parts? You can easily edit and save routes for later use. When you're ready to create your route, SimSail lets you set the start date and time. You can also load polars (which are pretty useful!), adjust engine behavior in windy conditions, or even tweak wind variations using data from GRIB files.

Multiple Displays for Your Route

No matter what details you need about your created route, SimSail has got options! Choose from various displays: dots, lines—maybe both!—as well as boat speed, engine/sailing status, wind force indicators, and more.
