How SimGlycan Works

After that, it creates a list of likely candidate structures for you! Each structure gets a score based on how well it matches your data.

Understanding the Scores

This scoring system uses something called a proximity score. This number tells you how closely the experimental properties of your glycan—like its branching pattern and composition—line up with what's in the database. The closer they are, the higher the score!

Extra Biological Information

But wait, there's more! Besides just structural info, SimGlycan also provides additional details about each glycan class you're looking at. You can find out about its probable molecular structure, pathways, enzymes, and reactions too. Need to know things like Protein ID, name, source, or peptide sequence? No problem!
