What is OVAL?

So, have you heard of Open Vulnerability and Assessment Language (OVAL)? It's this cool international standard in information security that helps make security info open and available to everyone. OVAL also makes it easier to share this info across different security tools and services. It uses a special language to code system details and has lots of content repositories in the community.

This language helps standardize three main steps in assessing security:
