Description
Ripple-carry adder (8 bit) is an application that simulates a 8-bit ripple-carry adder created as a cascade from eight 1-bit full-adders.
In order to simulate the typical behavior of a ripple-carry adder, some very large gate-delays are used for the gates inside the 1-bit adders .
This results in the addition time of about 0.6 seconds per adder. Ripple-carry adder (8 bit) is developed using the Java programming language and can be run on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
