Reverse Search Phone Numbers is a handy tool designed to help you find out who owns a specific phone number. It taps into several online services that can dig up this info for you. Pretty cool, right?
While you could do something similar using a regular search engine, this app makes it easier by giving you quick access to multiple sites that can trace a phone number and tell you its location and owner.
But here’s the catch: Reverse Search Phone Numbers only has one main function. When you enter a phone number, it doesn’t show any data directly in its window. Instead, it just tells you if the number is found in the database of the site you're checking.
This might sound surprising since many of these online services aren't free. When you click on 'Results', it opens up the website in your default browser. You’ll find websites like PhoneDetective, White Pages, 411.com, Reverse Phone Check, PhoneNumber.com, and usaphonelookup.com listed there.
The reliability of Reverse Search Phone Numbers can be hit or miss. In our tests, even though the app said a number was found, searching on those websites didn’t yield any results at all! Not great news.
This tool does give you quick access to six web directories that have databases of phone numbers—some free and some require payment. But remember, its functionality is pretty limited; it doesn't actually perform searches itself to give you accurate results.
