What is Resize! FOR MAC?

Resize! is a simple app for Mac OS X that lets you batch resize multiple images. It’s pretty handy because you can apply different methods to make your images the right size without a hassle. Now, one thing to note is that the app doesn’t show you the files it’s processed in its interface. Instead, it works with all the image files in a folder you pick and creates a new directory for the resized images right there.

Easy-to-Use Interface

The Resize! user interface is straightforward. You get this single window where you specify which folder has the images you want to resize. Just make sure all your pictures are in that folder! Then, choosing how you want to resize them is easy too—just tick the button for proportional resizing, box resizing, or independent resizing.

Select Your Output Format

You can also choose how to save your resized images: either as PNG or JPEG. If you go with JPEG, there’s even an option to adjust the quality! You can set it to excellent, good, decent, low, or even custom if you have something specific in mind. Plus, there are some cool customization features like automatically increasing picture sizes if needed and making file names web-friendly.

Proportional Resizing Made Simple

If you're going with proportional resizing, Resize! makes sure your photos keep their proportions while adjusting their size based on what you choose: biggest, smallest, width, height, or percent. For each of these options, just give it a number and Resize! will do its magic.

Box and Independent Resizing Options

You can also provide exact width and height values for your output image using box resizing. Don’t worry; Resize! will fit them in while keeping everything proportionate! And if you're looking at independent resizing? The pictures will change according to your specified width and height but might lose their original proportions.
