Installation Steps:

Usage Instructions:


After installation, start memcached on master and slave machines as follows:



  • Master (foo): ./memcached

  • Slave (bar): ./memcached -x foo



With repcached, you can:



  • Set key/value pairs on the master and retrieve them from the slave

  • Automatically promote a slave to master if the original master fails

  • Initiate a new slave connection for data synchronization
