Description

Raptor

Raptor is a super easy download manager that makes controlling your downloads a breeze! It’s designed for everyone, with just enough customization options to fit different needs.

Is Raptor Right for You?

If you’re already using some of the fancy download managers out there, you might find Raptor a little lacking. Why? Well, it doesn’t have some key features like browser integration or clipboard monitoring. This means you’ll need to manually add your download links into the app.

How Does It Work?

Once you've added your download link, Raptor takes care of everything else! It gives you all the handy details in its main window. You can check things like file name, status, size, how much data has been received, speed, and even how much time has passed or is left. It’s like having a quick overview of all your active downloads right in front of you!

Adding New Downloads

When it's time to add a new download, you'll just need to enter the link and choose where you want to save it. There's also an option to set up a separate folder if you want to start downloading later but still want it listed in the main window.

Settings and Features

The settings menu packs a few extra features too! You can log all your download links, set up actions when downloads finish, pick a default save folder for files, enable sounds for alerts, or even display a floating box while downloading.

Performance on Windows

The good news is that Raptor doesn’t slow down your system at all. However, keep in mind that it only works on Windows XP and Vista—sorry Windows 7 users; you'll be out of luck here!

A Final Thought

Overall, Raptor does what it promises but still needs some work to compete with other big names in this busy market. If you're looking for something simple and straightforward without too many bells and whistles, give Raptor a try!
