So, let's talk about Rad, which comes packed with our geiger counter radiation detectors. This software is available for both Windows (like NT, 2000, XP, 95, and 98) and Macintosh (Mac OS 9 and OS X). It has a ton of features that really help you keep track of radiation levels.

Here are some key features:

• Graphing of radiation levels


• User selectable scaling for better readability


• Variable integration (measurement) period to suit your needs


• Trend line to see changes over time


• A statistics feature for detailed analysis


• You can add optional timestamps to your data


• An option to fill the area under the curve for visual representation


• You can save recorded data to disk for future analysis!


• An optional "clicking" sound when each particle is detected—pretty neat!

Limitations of Rad Software

But it's not all perfect!

• The software has a ten-minute limitation on measurements.
