qvPDF is a user-friendly software that lets you turn any printable document into a PDF file. It’s packed with lots of options and settings, plus it supports plugins for things like FTP and SMTP!

Easy Installation

Getting started with qvPDF is a breeze! The installation doesn’t take long at all. One cool thing to note is that it sets up a printer driver to work correctly, along with GhostScript. After the setup, you can easily access it from any application that has a “Print” feature.

User-Friendly Configuration Panel

Once you install it, the configuration panel pops up right away. It’s organized in a way that makes it easy to adjust settings like the setup language, driver INF file path, printer driver name, and configuration files.

Handy Plugins Available

You’ll find several useful plugins available such as debugger, FTP, GUI, Hylafax, MAPI, SaveTo, Script, ShellOpen, and SMTP. Plus, re-registering them is just one click away! qvPDF also keeps logs of its activity so you can check for any errors.

Customize Your PDF Experience

You can choose the process priority and set commands that run before using GhostScript or after creating the PDF. You can also specify the document title, print PostScript files, add image watermarks, rotate pages and edit metadata (like page mode or hiding toolbars). Oh! And you can even encrypt your file with a password using either 40-bit or 128-bit security algorithms!

Manage Your Files Easily

If you need to merge or split files or manage user permissions for PDFs—qvPDF has got your back! You can set default plugins too and load scripts from external files. Plus, there’s an option to show “Save As…” so you can specify where to save each PDF and even set up scheduled tasks!

No Stability Issues Found

No worries about stability here! During our tests with qvPDF, we didn’t encounter any crashes or error messages. It runs smoothly without hogging too much CPU or memory.

A Few Advanced Features

The only downside? Some advanced features might be tricky if you're new to PDF tools. Also worth mentioning is that qvPDF hasn’t had updates in a while. But hey! It still packs some powerful options—especially since it's free!
