Description
Pynorama is an open source, freely distributed, small, easy-to-use, simple and cross-platform graphical software implemented in Python/PyGTK as a simple and lightweight image viewer for viewing images on your GNU/Linux operating system.
It is mostly designed for viewing comics, supports spinning, flipping and zooming of images. The software lets users to zoom, spin and pan images with the mouse, and allows them to view images from folders, pasted images, dropped files, or directly from the Internet.
The software is also capable of displaying multiple images at once, allowing users to easily navigate between multiple opened image files, comes with hardware accelerated capabilities, as well as six automatic zoom options, including fill and fit.
Its graphical user interface (GUI) is very simple, but comes with numerous menu items that give you quick access to all the aforementioned functions. The interface is highly customizable, which means that you can hide the toolbar, statusbar, and even the scrollbars.
A powerful sorting functionality is also implemented in the application, allowing the user to easily sort images in reverse order, by name, by characters, by modification date, by file size, by image size, by image width or by image height.
Two layouts are also provided in the View menu, so you can easily switch between single image view or image strip view modes. Full screen functionality is also implemented, along with a comprehensive Preferences dialog that lets you to configure various aspects of the application.
Being written in the Python programming language, Pynorama can run on Linux, Windows or Mac operating systems. It has been successfully tested with several 64-bit and 32-bit flavors of the aforementioned OSes and it is highly portable to other UNIX-like systems where Python is supported.
