PShell is a cool tool that gives you a simple but powerful user interface for a secure shell, all built in Perl. If you're looking for a way to connect securely, this is it!
So, PShell is basically a secure shell that's written completely in Perl. It comes with a menu interface and also has a basic command line option. To keep things safe, the shell runs inside what's called a chroot jail. This means it can only use certain commands or programs, which you can customize through a configuration file.
This shell is designed to work smoothly with SSH on Linux or any UNIX-like operating system. It features a menu layout inspired by another popular shell called loginshell.pl. But don’t worry! Even if it looks similar, tons of code changes have been made to enhance its security.
Thanks to the chroot environment, PShell has become really secure while staying true to its Perl roots. Plus, it's licensed under the GNU GPL, which means it's open for everyone to use!
The original developer of loginshell had some licensing issues (even though his website says otherwise), so I kept modifications minimal where I could while still making it better.
