What is PowerAdvisory?

PowerAdvisory is a super handy app that keeps you in the loop about what's happening with the California power grid. It grabs info from the California ISO, so you get real-time updates on how things are going and even warnings if there’s a chance of rotating blackouts during a Stage 3 Emergency.

Stay Updated with Real-Time Info

The main window of PowerAdvisory shows detailed info on the current system condition. You can see an interactive graph that displays today’s actual and forecasted load for the ISO-controlled part of the power grid. This data gets refreshed at intervals you can pick, which is pretty cool! Plus, if you want to save some screen space, you can hide this window or make it float above other apps while you're working.

Easy Access to Alerts

An icon showing the current system condition and overall electrical demand stays visible in your system tray at the bottom right corner of your screen. If anything changes, you'll get a pop-up notice from your taskbar letting you know there’s new info from the ISO. That pop-up even gives you a quick link to check out more details in your web browser!
