Description

PixelCryptor is a small software application whose purpose is to help you hide sensitive files and folders inside images.

The tool sports an intuitive design that allows you to activate the encryption/decryption process using simple clicks. There’s support for a help manual included in the package in case you need to find out more about the program’s capabilities.

PixelCryptor helps you set up the encryption/decryption task with the aid of wizard-like approach. You are offered step-by-step guidance throughout the entire configuration process.

The utility offers you the possibility to build up a list with the files that you want to encode. Items can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support.

A few details are shown about each file, namely size, type, filename, and date when it last modified. You can switch between different view modes, like large icons, tiles, list, or details.

What’s more, you are allowed to add folders, create new directories, as well as remove items from the encrypted package. Optionally, you can make the application delete source files and folders at the end of the encoding task.

PixelCryptor lets you specify an image where the files and directories are hidden. It works with BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, or TIFF file format. The photo can be previewed directly in the main window.

The program encrypts data into one CGP file, and you only need to provide the filename and saving directory to save it on the disk. The decryption process can be carried out via the tool’s interface, provided that you specify the correct picture.

All things considered, PixelCryptor is useful for quick encryption tasks when you do not have the time to set up complex encryption algorithms, and is suitable especially for rookies.
