Getting Started with PaperCut NG

The setup process might take a little time, but it’s totally worth it. You get to choose what parts you want to install—like the main server, secondary print server, web print server (sandbox mode), or site server. So, you can customize it to fit your needs!

Configuration Made Easy

When you first launch the software, a friendly configuration wizard pops up. It walks you through setting up things like the admin password, where you're located globally, what type of organization you are, and default printing costs for both grayscale and color pages. You can even set initial user credits! Before moving on, you'll have a chance to double-check everything.

Your Dashboard Awaits!

Once you're logged in, you'll land on the dashboard. Here’s where you can see all sorts of info like system uptime, total users and printers connected, any recent errors that popped up, pages printed so far, printer status updates, environmental impact stats, and real-time activity reports.

User Management Features

You can dive into each user's transaction history and job log. Need to adjust someone's credit? No problem! You can also let users release jobs printed by others or export transaction history into files for easy record-keeping.

Organizing Users

With PaperCut NG, organizing users into different groups is a breeze! You can apply filters based on balance status or department. Want to change restrictions or reset statistics? It’s all possible! Plus, you can generate unique ID numbers for cards and switch settings as needed.

Printer Management Made Simple
