Oregano is a cool app for schematic capture and simulation of electrical circuits. It uses Berkeley Spice, GNUcap, or the new generation ngspice to do the actual simulation work.
This software is licensed under the GNU GPL, and you can find all the details in the COPYING file.
Requirements:
The installation process can be super easy. Here’s how:
Navigate to the package's source code directory using `cd`, then type `./configure`. If you're on an old version of System V with csh, use `sh ./configure` instead. This step sets things up for your system.
The configuration might take a bit of time while it checks for features.
If everything looks good, type `make` to start compiling.
You can run tests with `make check` if you want to verify everything works as expected.
The final step is to install everything by typing `make install`. This will set up your programs, data files, and documentation!
If you want to clean up after yourself, just type `make clean` to remove binaries and object files from your source code directory. For a complete clean-up (like if you're switching computers), use `make distclean`.
If you run into any issues during compilation or have some unique requirements, feel free to send instructions or changes to the address in README. They’ll consider it for future releases!
