NetValue

NetValue is a handy app designed to help you convert TinyCAD netlists into PADS-PCB netlists. It's pretty straightforward! If you have parts with package names in TinyCAD symbols, NetValue will grab that info and put it into the "Package" attribute for you.

How It Works

This cool tool can also pull extra details from the TinyCAD symbols. For example, it can set the FreePCB "Value" of a part as a comma-separated string. This string could include various attributes attached to your TinyCAD symbol, like the Symbol name and Package. Let's break down how to use it:

Step-by-Step Guide

• Select 'Export Netlist': In your TinyCAD schematic, choose this option using the 'TinyCAD' format.


• Open NetValue: Launch the NetValue program and go to 'File/Open...' to pick your netlist file.


• Check Your File: If everything is right, you'll see the raw contents of your netlist in the main memo field along with available attributes in the box at the top left.


• Select Attributes: Want certain attributes in your output? Just double-click or use the '->' button. You can easily fix any mistakes by deselecting them!


• Order Your Attributes: Use the up/down buttons to arrange them how you want.


• Press 'OK': After setting everything up, hit OK! The new netlist will show up in the bottom panel. You can repeat this step if needed.


• Save Your Work: Once you're happy with it, go to 'File/Save'. You'll get a default filename like [original]_V.net, but feel free to change that!


• Print Option: If you want a hard copy of your data from the memo field, just go to 'File/Print'. Plus, you can customize font size and style using the 'Font' menu item.
