nessViewer is a cool app that combines the features of a DVD / QuickTime Player and Preview. It gives you a MediaCenter where you can easily access local media and tons of internet media providers. Plus, you can edit, arrange, and present your media just the way you like it. Oh, and it has a neat media server that lets you transfer or stream media between your Mac and iOS devices.
Supported Media Formats
This handy software supports all sorts of media like DVDs, pictures, movies/videos, playlists (or media shows), and even portable documents like PDFs. You can watch movies and videos in common formats such as AVI, DivX, MKV, MPEG4 using the QuickTime, Flip4Mac, and Perian extensions.
Accessing More Media
But wait, there’s more! The MediaCenter also lets you access EyeTV movies and iPhoto media like images and videos. You can check out your iTunes library too—whether it's bought or rented movies (DRM) or Miro video podcasts (RSS).
Network Access with DLNA Client
If you're into streaming over networks, the built-in media server and DLNA client browser have got you covered! You can access your media through networks like DLNA or FTP. With the DLNA client feature, you can connect to many different servers such as Plex, PS3, Serviio, Twonky, or even XBMUPnP. It makes accessing their media super easy!
