Description
My Password Manager is a feather-light application you can use to store passwords in a secure environment, which especially comes in handy when sharing your computer with other people.
It comes packed with approachable options that can be tackled with ease by all types of users, even those less experienced with such software.
The interface of My Password Manager is simple, made from a large window that asks you to specify a password at startup and confirm it, in order to restrict the access of other PC users to the password database.
New entries can be created by specifying the display name, group (email, network, system, web, other) and value, which can be a password, comment or anything else of importance.
It's possible to add as many entries as you want while keeping in mind that this takes its toll on the database size, edit their properties anytime, as well as remove them from the list if you change your mind. The viewing mode can be set between large or small icons, and list mode.
The entire tool's packed in a single .exe file that can be saved anywhere on the disk or copied to a removable storage unit, in order to seamlessly launch it on any PC with little effort. It doesn't add new entries to the system registry but required .NET Framework to work properly.
It worked smoothly in our tests, without triggering the OS to hang, crash or indicate errors. CPU and RAM usage was minimal, so it didn't hamper the computer's performane.
On the other hand, we expected a richer set of options and customization settings from a password manager. For example, My Password Manager doesn't integrate options for creating new groups.
