Monu is a cool menubar app that lets you keep an eye on and manage different processes right from your status bar. It's super handy because you can quickly check the status of each process and restart them if you need to.
The Monu user interface is pretty simple. It shows a small panel in your status bar where you can see all the processes you're watching, along with their status. For every process, Monu gives you some useful details like uptime, PID, and the command used to start it.
One of the best parts about Monu is that it includes actions you can trigger for any selected process or for all of them with just one click! You can start or restart processes or even send commands to stop them without breaking a sweat.
Getting started with Monu is easy! Just hit the “Open Config Folder” button in the app's panel. This opens up the config.json file right in Finder for you.
You'll want to open that file in any text editor. Using JSON syntax, you can add processes to monitor by setting a name and providing the launch command. Simple enough, right?
Monu also generates log files for every process it monitors. You can easily open the output folder in Finder by pressing a button. After that, just open those .log files in your favorite text processor to see what's going on.
This app provides a clean graphical user interface that makes monitoring various processes from your status bar super easy. Sure, you'll need to use JSON syntax for initial setup, but after that, managing your processes will be smooth sailing!
