Monolingual is a handy little app for your Mac that helps you clean up unnecessary language files and architectures. Most Mac apps come with loads of different language resources so everyone can use them, no matter where they are. Why Use Monolingual?

With Monolingual, you can easily remove those extra languages and architectures that just take up space on your computer. The app has a simple main window divided into two tabs: Languages and Architectures.

The Languages Tab

In the Languages tab, you'll see a list of all the languages supported by the apps on your Mac. Monolingual automatically finds out what your system's language is and keeps it unchecked so it won't be deleted. You can go through the rest and check off any languages you want to get rid of.

The Architectures Tab

The Architectures tab works in a similar way. It detects what type of machine you have and lets you pick which architectures to remove. Just remember that when you use Monolingual, it cleans up system-wide—so if there's something specific you want to keep for one app, you're out of luck.
