Given the way the global economy is heading, it only comes as natural that you may want to have a better grasp and control over your finances. A basic method of determining where you can make some cuts and save some money is to have a straightforward view of your cash flow. Money Fox is a tool that enables you to get a better perspective of your income and expenses so that you make better financial decisions.

Before you can get started, you need to add at least one account, which can usually be the one you are receiving regular income, such as your salary. The program allows you to add as many accounts as you need, so if you have extra income that you store in separate accounts, you can easily add and account them into your budget.

Although it's not mandatory, the tool allows you to create Categories of spending, an option that enables you to get an accurate figure on how much you spend on groceries or utilities, for example.

Once you have everything configured, you can use the Add Payment button to include all payments you make, all income you earn or any transfers to different accounts. From the aforementioned button, select the payment type, account, if you have multiple, and specify the sum.

The Statistics tab is where you can preview all the cash flow in a given period, be it a general view of the cash flow or particular data, such as spending for groceries category, for instance. The same data is available as a table when clicking on the account along with details like the sum, date and other relevant data.
