Mo'adim is a super handy educational tool that helps you learn the Hebrew names for the weekdays and months. It’s like having a calendar right on your screen! Understanding the Hebrew Week

In Hebrew culture, they count their weekdays with Shabbat as their resting day, which is actually the seventh day of the week. So, Shabbat falls on Saturday in our modern calendar. This means that each week ends with a rest day and starts fresh on Sunday. You’ll notice that at the top of Mo'adim's calendar, it shows you the current month in both Hebrew and English!

If you hover over any day on the calendar, a little pop-up will give you info about daylight hours based on where you are. Plus, it will tell you about daily prayers, when to say them, and details about lighting Shabbat candles.

Just switch to daily view and you'll see prayer times, proportional hours, Torah excerpts, and even countdowns to major holidays! For example, Rosh Hashanah is just 6 days away from September 19th, 2014; Yom Kippur is coming up in 15 days.

You can easily pull up a standard calendar in another window or change up the colors of holiday markers. Mo'adim also lets you adjust your location anywhere around the globe! Thanks to time zone settings worldwide, it calculates time based on where you're located.
