MMap FOR LINUX



MMap is a powerful GTK2 map viewer designed to provide users with a comprehensive mapping experience. With support for popular mapping technologies like Blue Marble, Land Sat 7, Watchizu, and SRTM, MMap allows you to explore the world in stunning detail.

  • View a wide range of maps, including Watchizu, Blue Marble, Land Sat 7, and SRTM.

  • Store map data in the designated ~\/.mmap\/ directory.

Installation Instructions:


Installing MMap on your Linux system is easy. Simply follow these steps:



  1. Extract the mmap-***.tar.gz file using the command: tar zxvf mmap-***.tar.gz

  2. Run the configuration script: .\/configure

  3. Compile the source code: make

  4. Install MMap (root access required): make install

The latest release of MMap includes a new layer for Japanese numerical maps, enhancing the software's functionality and geographical coverage.
