This program features a cool tabbed interface that makes it easy to switch between different sections like ‘Translations’, ‘LiveDocs’, ‘Translation Memories’, ‘Term Bases’, and ‘Muses’. Plus, the ‘Dashboard’ gives you quick access to your ‘Frequent Tasks’ so you can get things done faster.

Track Your Projects

If you look at the lower panel of the main window, you'll see all your current projects. It shows details like how complete they are, when they were created, what languages you're using, and when they’re due. This way, you can stay on top of everything easily!

Create Projects Effortlessly

Getting started with a new project is a breeze thanks to the wizard feature. You just enter the project name, source and target languages, client info, and subject matter. You can even keep track of version history for translated documents and connect to a content source if needed.

Importing Documents Made Simple

The next step is importing documents that need translation. memoQ supports tons of formats including TXT, DOC, PPT, PDF, RTF—and even some specialized ones like TTX (from Trados), XLF, MBD, BAK and more! So no matter what file type you're working with, memoQ has got it covered.

Creating Translation Memories and Term Bases

You’ll want to set up a ‘Translation Memory’ or import one from TMX or CSV files. You can also create a ‘Term Base’ or choose one from existing TBX files. If you have terminology stored locally, importing that is easy too!

Efficient Translation Process

While translating in memoQ, text appears in segments—usually full sentences—so you can merge or split them based on what works best for you. For any words found in the ‘Term Base’, memoQ will show available equivalents right away! Once you're done translating, exporting your work into various bilingual formats is simple.
