Media Crawler provides you with a file system crawling application capable of extracting metadata information from various files, mapping it to internal schemas, and storing it in a database. Based on the Eclipse RCP platform, this program is intended to help programmers manage locally stored multimedia files and documents.

The main GUI displays all multimedia files in a structured manner, allowing you to annotate and organize items in groups. Metadata is automatically extracted from each file, with the ability to import additional data from CSV files.

During testing, the application experienced a few crashes but overall performed well. Media Crawler offers a comprehensive platform designed to help you manage metadata of various file formats, especially for those familiar with Eclipse development environment.
